Halloom is a semi-soft unripened cheese, with a mild but quite salty flavor. Each pack is about 400g (+/- 15g). Billing is based on the latter median weight.

It is Cyprus' national cheese. It is very popular in the countries around the Mediterranean sea. Is was originally made with sheep milk, but it is also made now with cow's milk due to the high demand for this cheese.
